Packing for the Beach

In order to save space and make sure that everyone has everything they need, I created the beach packing checklist. We're only going away for a long weekend, so that helps with the amount of stuff we'll need to bring. Because we are renting a condo, we'll also have to bring bedding for each bed. (I was not going to pay $35 per bed for linens...just wasn't going to happen)

Beach Packing List

1 Pair of Jeans
2 Capris pants
3 shirts
Swimsuit + coverup
Pajamas (1 set)
Hoodie
Underwear for the weekend
2 pairs of casual shoes
Toiletry bag

Everyone is limited to one bag. Everyone also has to have the chargers and batteries for their various gadgets. I'm providing beach towels and a cool mesh beach bag for each child. Wal-mart has some nice beach towels for $3.88. I didn't see those until after I bought the ones from Lakeside Collection. Space management is going to be a huge issue. I can already tell. Some things we will not take with us. It'll be easier to buy them when we get to Myrtle Beach.

And Away We Go....

It's time to gear up the gang for another travel season. I'm so excited. This will be the first time we've taken the entire crew out of the state. Where are we going?

Beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

So on this trip we'll have nine kids, mostly teens, and 5 adults.

There are many issues involved with travelling with a group this size. Everything from lodging to meals to activities. So I will be blogging about these issues and also about how to pack light for a beach trip and managing attitudes on vacation. ('Cause there's always some sort of teenage girl drama).

So stay tuned....
